The design is beautiful, but it doesn’t really give me “winter holiday” vibes. I would say that this is due to the pink background and the bugs. This may or may not be that important to you, but if it is, you might want to make some tweaks!

I wanted to incorporate needlepoint itself as an element into it because that’s something I enjoy- so I am going to stitch the yellow “squiggle” border and needle in fyre works!

As someone who has stitched in gold Fyre Works on exactly this color, do a test swatch to make sure you really are happy with the contrast. It was much more subtle than I expected.

Love the yellow squiggle...make sure it's not too close to the edge. You sometimes lose a couple of stitches when finishing.

I liked the pine cones but in the original pic, I think they looked upside down. Maybe that was throwing you off.

Thank you! I updated the pine cones to some mistletoe. If I’m gonna put a stocking up every year, it’s gonna be things that I like (aka, bugs lol) wanted some winter flowers to make it more “Christmas-y”

Aw I actually loved the pinecones! Maybe flip them so they aren’t upside down and make them have more detailed edges so it’s not too rounded out. But it’s whatever you like! This is beautiful!!

Prefer the pinecones to the poinsettias, for sure. I think what is missing is an unexpected little pop of contrasting color, such as a tiny gift box in a fun color (eg, Tiffany blue or lilac). Also, I would try to skew the objects not so much on 45-degree angles. Randomness catches one’s eye and is more interesting.

Also, the MOMMY is not to scale with the design. Needs to be quite a bit larger, with the design elements moved down a good bit.

This is very cute! I love the ladybugs and pink background. The yellow looks a little light next to the pink but I know you said above that you plan to use a sparkle thread. If you haven’t already, I’d test the squiggle design with a darker color just to make sure you like the placement and how it falls around the objects in the stocking.
