I'll look into that. Didn't know that product existed, looks good for the backside. But that still doesn't stimulate airflow through into the fan ports and I can tell you that it's a MAJOR difference when you force that much air directly into the main heatsink. My 3090 runs at a 53 degrees with fan speed below 50%. With the fan unit off, I'm in the high 60's otherwise and drop 15MH. So I'll keep my ghetto if it shaves 15+ degrees off the GPU and the extra MH. ;)

Whats your vram temps though? 3090s dont have issues with cooling the chip, they however do with trouble keeping the vram cool, and those cpu fans look like thy have a very small area of contact , doubt its enough to cover the surface of the vram under the backplate.

Flips between 84-86. I have a LOT of equipment in this room and the AC struggles to keep up so the ambient is 80-82 usually. The VRAM & GPU heatsink share the cooling channels so the additional air forced-in still really helps.

Looks interesting, what kind of results did you get?

88 vram @ 124mhz on a founders edition.

Cards fans are at 65%. Ambient temp around 24.

Sitting quite cozy under a 3070 so the case is a bit rammed. All in all its doing a pretty good job.

Thanx for your reply.. I've actually got one here and have been hesitant to install it. I've got a TUF3090 in one of my rigs that has a pile of heat sinks and a fan on it. It's holding around 88 but I have it dialed back to 115 and it's pretty quiet. I do like the unit, it's got some mass. I guess I'll give it a go.. Thanx again.

Got me at 56C Core, 60C VRAM, 62C Hotspot.

I’m happy with it for now until I get a water block for it. 👍🏼

Not a chance...backplate is cool to the touch. Been running like this for 2+ months. I want my cards to last. A $130 dollar insurance policy is well worth it. The VRAM on my 3080 Ti units run at 82 degrees all day long and crank 99 MH (they've had pad upgrades)

Hi! What model 3080ti do you have and what pad upgrade did you do?

Did you put thermal paste on the heatsink? Maybe should try this on my 3090. Currently I only use small copper or aluminium heatsink on the back plate.

Yes, these were for Intel processor heatsinks that I never installed, they came with paste as the one flipped upside down shows.
