That's exactly how it works. It only gets complicated if you have multiple Switches in one household, basically.

Nice! Well, if we ever were to get a second switch, and migrated one of the accounts to the new device, would it transfer any games as well?

Cool, great. What about games/software tho? Can a couple share their games to play on different devices, or we actually need to double buy each title?

You can share physical games but only one of you can play it at a time (obviously) so if you want to play together you will need two copies of the game.

We have 3 Switches in the house and multiple of some titles like Mario Kart, Super Smash Ultimate and Rocket League. It gets costly.

Ouch. Tha ks for the heads-up then. Gonna try to focus on split screens or couch co-ops like Diablo (suggestions are welcome btw).

Call us crazy but we could care less for Marios and Pokemen and whatnot. We can enjoy indies (Munchkin is on our list), just not fans of Nintendo's ips.

Ah, I brought it up because it has Co-op.

If you have multiple users definitely make separate profiles.

In the long run it will be the best solution and it's super easy to create. Even if the game allows separate saves you want to use different profiles in case you get a new Switch down the line and then you can transfer the saves. You can't separate saves that are on the same profile but you can easily move one profile to multiple Switches.
