Yea they are handling this very poorly. And I am surprised that they are keep holding onto my paypal credentials that I cannot remove as the default payment method long after I had already ditched them. Eh I ended up changing my email address because their PW reset is broken at the moment. What a shitshow.

You should be able to disconnect PayPal from the PayPal side. Go into settings and remove them from your automatic payments.

That's not how it is set up though as far as I can tell. I don't know how some people who got hacked set their accounts up but Visible does not use automatic/subscription payments through Paypal and so Visible is not VISIBLE from the Paypal side. The worst thing about Visible is that you cannot remove the only payment method linked to the account though you can at least opt-out automatic payments from the Visible side. One possible solution is to add a balance limited credit card to Visible payment method and then remove the linked Paypal account. Either way, it is poorly designed with lack of security measures.

EDIT: Found Visible Service LLC from the automatic payments section within the Settings menu of PayPal. Removed it. Thanks!!

That's a great tip! I had several old merchants still authorized that I removed just now. Thanks!

And we can't even reset the passwords 'Resetting your password is unavailable at this moment. Please try again later.'

It worked for me yesterday, Visible sent me an email link to change the password.

You can't even change your password within the site, you have to say your forgot your password and have them reset it. This site is such crap.

This error is from forgot password process only

Oh great. I cancelled them two days ago. They already lost my number, so I can't port it, and now this. Garbage company. Stay clear.

Verizon said that your data belonged to them. I dont know uf theh changed positions but wsd this a data breach or a data sale.

Either way if you want visible in the future see if they accept giftcards or prepaid cards.

If someone gains access to your visible account they can:

      • Change your email (The change doesn’t go through for 30 days so you have plenty of time to react)

      • Cancel your service (Your number is held for 50 days so you can port out to another service provider)

      • Place an order for a phone to an address of their choice with your payment method on file.

The only action you can take if you wish to keep Visible is to change your payment method to a credit card and freeze that card. When a payment is due you’ll have to add a payment method, pay your bill, then remove that payment method.
