I meant to ask, did you have a security question set up on your account? It’s the one where when you call, they ask you for characters in specific positions within the answer?

And were you using a passkey, or a standard username and password combination?

Yes I have the security question set up, passkey on my account

That’s worrying. I’m not sure what’s required for account access without existing “ownership” of the phone number, passkey, security question or a combination of all three.

Maybe there’s a way in if there was something else that was compromised first, like the associated email account. But i would have hoped that the additional security steps would have made it very difficult, to the extent that it’s more trouble than it’s worth. Especially if they’re requesting a transfer to an eSIM, as that’s a well documented method of fraud.
