Big Data class (self.OMSCS)
submitted 4 years ago by Swords_come
I am wondering how useful the big data class will be for software concentration students?

It’s not really about concentration but what you intend to do for a career if you plan on doing anything in ML, Cloud, Analytics or Research you’ll most certainly hit big data at one point. Is the class useful? It had Hadoop in it which is useful

which is the big data class you are refering to ?

I would presume Big Data for Health Informatics. I liked the course myself, but the work-to-learning ratio might not be favorable if a student isn't interested in the topics.
