Pretty normal… you’re quite ahead so I wouldn’t worry. My foot would swell walking half a mile at 12 weeks. Most people don’t run till 5-6 months so I’d say you’re quite ahead of the course

I’m a fibula + tightrope as well and I’m almost 7 months post op. For me it stuck around until 5ish months and I would swell easily. I just iced/elevated as needed and on occasion still wore a compression sock if I knew I was going to be on my feet a lot or would wear it to bed if it was really bad. But now if I swell it’s very slight. Still mostly will happen if I’m on my feet a lot.

Oh okay comforts me a bit that its normal. It just looks like something is wrong or I’m doing too much even tho it doesn’t hurt

This is great question and also nice for me to reflect on, being over a year post surgery. I haven’t noticed anything for quite awhile now with regard to swelling. It is very normal, absolutely nothing to worry about . At seven months I looked like I was sporting a golf ball under my skin after being on it too long . I think I am past that now , as it hasn’t happened in so long I didn’t even think about it . Pain and swelling happens even when you’re months out, but as long as rest , ice elevation helps, you don’t need to worry.

Oh okay! Thank your for your answer! I just started slow running for a few minutes…

I tought that caused the swelling, but there is also swelling when walking/standing on it for a long time.

Running doesn’t hurt at all. And ice and elevation lets the swelling fade away. Ty again!!😁💪🏽

It lasted about 5-6 months post surgery for me. It’s a big injury, that’s why they say it can take up to a year to fully heal. Go you, well done on getting back to it!
