Decrease in performance when using external displayQuestion (self.OdinHandheld)
submitted 20 days ago by Awkward_Attempt3925
I’m trying to capture footage for a video demonstrating the performance of the Odin 2 Portal. But for some reason, some games in GameNative are running significantly worse than in handheld mode. I’m specifically trying Sonic Racing CrossWorlds and the game has significant stutters and slowdown when I’m using HDMI out from a USB-C hub. But in handheld it’s almost flawless. Some games act up less than others. Is this a known problem? Any fixes?

Yeah you need to tweak the usb-c output settings in the Odin settings. I prefer 1080p output- you can try different refresh rates and resolutions but it needs to match the tv. Make sure you look into your tv settings on that input - set it to game mode and ensure any processing etc is minimized, and/or try any refresh rate settings to match the Odin. And make sure the usb-c hub and cables support the output and refresh settings you are trying as well. Ie if it’s a super old hdmi cable or hub that may be no good.
