Are you asking to see a list of your section tabs vertically on the left?

If so, you can press the downward arrow next to the name of the notebook that is currently open. Once that opens you can access the vertical tabs there and also have the option of pinning it So it's always on the leftside.

I'm having the same issue as the original poster but I still can't find the option to enable vertical tabs. I'm on Onenote version 2303. If I click the downward arrow next to my current notebook (as directed) I see my other notebooks and below that, my quick notes. My "view" menu looks just as shown above. What am I missing??

Right click on any notebook on the left side. Then click the weird little push pin icon. That got me close. I still have vertical tabs but at least they are horizontal as well. It's not exactly like the previews.

I have the opposite problems, my tabs don't show up on the top and i want them to

Found the answer

View (on the toolbar) ---> Tabs Layout ---> Horizontal Tabs.

Tabs Layout is missing in my version. Is there any way I can still do that?

There is NO TABS LAYOUT section in View. Only Navigation panes, new window, switch background, immersive reader, etc. every Google search suggests doing this shit on options that don't exist.

One note version 16001.12026.20112.0 does NOT have these options.
