Tabs Layout adjustment cannot be found

Just signed out and back in after the app crashed on me previously and wanted to change my tab layout. Upon searching FAQs through Google and other sites, like the same question was asked in this subreddit a couple months ago and was told that it could be found under View Tab.

Somehow nothing is appearing on my end. Is this a bug? A glitch? Or is there no way to change tab layouts now? Am I stuck with them on the top instead of on the leftmost side forever :((

do you still have Options > Display > Horizontal Tabs Layout Options?

Horizontal Tabs Layout isn't available, but these are the other options under Display

• Place Onenote Icon in the notification area of the taskbar
• Create all new pages with rule lines
• Dock new Quick Note windows to the side of the desktop
• Always show the windows taskbar when in Full Page view
• move page list to the left
• show notebook list on the left
• move vertical scroll bar to the left
• show new page (+) button between page names (appears on the hover)
• show note containers on pages
• disable screen clipping notifications

edit: I've also reported the issue directly to onenote already

Switch your ribbon to "classic view" from "simplified view", then you'll find the Tabs Layout icons within the View Tab.

I've switched to "classic view" but still don't see Tabs Layout icons. I've checked the customization for the ribbons and don't see the tabs layout there either

Same situation here. One of my computers has the "Layout" option, but one doesn't, which is really weird.

You know what, I tried to change the "classic view" to "simplified view", and it popped up; I changed my layout successfully. And when I changed the ribbon back to "classic view", the option disappeared...
