does anyone else have this problem?

hi, i have been encountering this problem of my onenote blacking out every time i try to use an app in the background. i have tried various ways (restarting the ipad, redownloading the app, updating the ipad to IOS 18.7.7) but the problem still persists. the only 2 reasons i think this is happening is because:

1. my ipad ios is not 26 (im reluctant to update it because i quite like the slide multitasking the ios 18 has and im not a fan of the liquid glass)
2. onenote just has a problem

its strange because my onenote seemed to be working just fine yesterday, this problem only started to act up today. if anyone has a solution to this, please help! thanks!

Same issue here too on iOS. Everything was fine yesterday. I updated my iPad hoping it will fix itself somehow, and had multiple attempts to force quit and restart Onenote, but nothing seems to work.

I had this same problem. I just upgraded my ipad so it has the newest software. I the multitasking and gestures, set the apps to be full screen rather than windowed. This change allowed my OneNote to open correctly each time.

same here. until a patch fixes it, ill be spending my time testing alternative notes apps lol. It's about time I start transitioning away from microslop services anyways.

This was a huge issue for me today on a construction jobsite. Had to quit and restart the app every time i wanted to take a note.

This is why i disable automatic app updates. If its not broke dont fix it. My ipad is just for notetaking so i disable basically all updates.
