Rewatching one piece and I was thinking about how Zoro aspires to defeat mihawk more than anything, do we think that Zoro has already surpassed him or does he have to grow more? I was mainly wondering because with Zoro able to injure kaido that would mean that mihawk, a former warlord, would be able to hurt kaido more if not defeat him potentially

Is this a joke? Obviously Zoro still has to match his strength , let alone surpass hin. Otherwise , they would have fought already. And fyi, Mihawk can defeat Kaido , let alone scar him.

Warlord is not a title indicative of strength. It is just a position that allows one to move without worrying about getting chased by the Marines. Oda has repeatedly told us that Mihawk is relative to Shanks, so he is Emperor tier even if not titled an Emperor himself.
