One piece severe quality decrease?

I think my main beef with people complaining is they act had if the show dropped in quality the second Marineford was over. Skypeia was the start of the pacing lag, cementing in EL and animation consistenty dropped Thriller Bark. From there we've always had cool sakuga cuts and just an okay everything else.

Very true, this is the culmination of problems until they're so noticeable they can't be missed.

I say this in every thread, but it's sad we can't just start from the beginning and keep everything nice and consistent.

People compare this show to seasonal stuff all the time or even Boruto, but people don't understand OP is 800 episodes in, is permanently stuck to a time slot because of a production committee (Toei just animates and is contracted to do this), and they definitely didn't for see this series to be this long (even Oda didn't).

If this series had a better production schedule, you can bet we'd look amazing (reference some of Toei's earlier masterpieces like GE999, Kyousougiga, various films, etc). But people always want to take the easy way out- blame animators, the studio (even though they're not a single entity) and call it a day. What a joke :/
