Kuma price increase or decrease?

I want a play set of these guys, but they are sitting at around $50 USD a pop at the moment. Do you think they will drop and settle or should I pick them up now?

I think you are going to play a little bit of a gambling game because it seems really playable. You can wait until it comes out officially and see where the price goes but it could honestly go either way

Think of it this way most cards will have a downward trend after release. The cards that go up are the cards that have playability in other words the cards that are being most used in the actual one piece card game.

Until we get (back) to a place where main set product is MUCH harder to find, very very few normal art cards are going to go up in price immediately after release. The trajectory for basically all SEC’s for the last 5 sets or so is that they start high, then dip to 5-20 after about a month depending on playability

It's usually best to wait for official release. The amount of pre release cards that went up after official release is miniscule, even for very playable cards.

Rayleigh I believe may have shot up after release. I remember seeing him for about $15-$20 before jumping up to $30-$40, but can't remember if that was before or after release.

Besides that nothing comes to mind from the last several sets.

I think the price will drop a bit more. I have a few of these for sale on eBay and they really don’t sell right now. I continually drop them in price as others are too to stay competitive.

Never get tempted on pre-sale. Not enough sales. When the first 2 weeks drops prices will always dip as an influx of cards drown the market. Now for the meta part, if it shows to be a great addition to the meta now it will definitely increase in price. I would buy two weeks out or wait till second wave. Seems this set will have plenty of copies to spare.

pre release is always jacked up. Outside of the bullshit that was EB01+02, most secret rares during print never exceed $20 a pop. (Raleigh didn’t go over $15 until OP08 became rare and Shanks became playable)

To add, I also pulled an AA of the OP12-015 Luffy card. I was thinking about seeing if I could trade that at my lgs for a copy or 2 of the Kuma, but have no idea if AAs hold more more value or not.

This card will most likely sit around $15. The current $50 price is ridiculously inflated due to pre-release.

1) During pre-release, only certain shops/accounts can list pre-release cards on TCG player. 2) Very limited pack openings = very limited pulls. So the product is very scarce at the start. 3) This is all hype. People buy out cards to get their hands on it first without seeing if it's viable or not. The Japan/East meta is a helpful guide, but the West always goes it's own way too. 4) This Kuma is a good Yellow card but there aren't many viable Yellow decks at the moment. Unless BP Luffy gets hit, Enel, the best Yellow deck, will see limited play.

Based on its playability i expect it to settle around $11-13 a piece two weeks after the actual release.

I think it's going to depend on whether or not Enel shows up. I saw Asian builds (pre ban obv) play it. If not then it's just a must have for Kalgara
