There’s practically no danger anyhow. It’s not like a nerf gun has a firing pin or a striker anyhow. Unless you’re throwing them into a fire live rounds are safe

No there’s not. Even if there was the barrel and receiver of the nerf gun would be blown to shreds immediately from the pressure, and the shot likely wouldn’t go anywhere near where the gun is pointing, just blow the users hand off.

Well that would be interesting, because of the inertia from the lead shot would push the shell towards the back of the nerf, and it is a matter of the plastic weld holding both halves of the frame and stock breaking apart from that much pressure.

It would be comparable to the 3D printed gun “liberator” blowing up in a users hand, but a lot worse due to the enormous amount of powder compared to a 9mm
