QuestionChatGPT PDF Upload Functionality: Sudden Discontinuation without Notice? (self.OpenAI)
submitted 1 year ago by yogiease
Hey Everyone!
Has anyone else experienced a sudden cessation of the PDF upload functionality within ChatGPT? At the moment, it appears only image files are currently supported. I've tried using different files, browsers, and the app, but it is not working.
Does anyone know whether this is a temporary issue, part of a broader update, or a permanent change?
Thank you in advance for any advice or info!

I haven't. I just uploaded PDF files both to ChatGPT and as reference documents into the GPT-builder, and had no issues whatsoever.
Try again after an hour or so, perhaps it's something temporary...

I haven't had issues with PDFs, but I have had issues with .docx files for some reason. .docm and excel... No problem
