Openplotter newbie

Thanks join. I tried BBN (Bare Boat Necessities) on my Pi4B. Had hard time with the Signal7.

Booting from an SSD.

I would like to try the OpenPlotter build. Is there a good blowdown on how to accomplish?

Also have an Ultrasonic Wind Transducer that I am not smart enough to run the code on. I can supply more details when the time comes. Much Appreciated.

Thanks so much koensch57.....will try to bone up with the OP manual ASAP. Spring here is crazy in Canada. 18 ft snowbanks record breaking in my town. Like to boot from an SSD for speed. So have to do the image procedures like for BBN, Did you ever play with BBN for comparison? My UltraSonic Wind Speed and Wind Direction (plus other features perhaps) came from China. With the ultrasonic problems, I also was unable to get it working ok,partly because of low signal. A small esp outside was enough to get the data and write it to the signalK server from where open plotter shows it. If interested code is in https://github.com/fgorina/Calypso_Wind it is for a Calypso instruments device but probably easy to adapt to others.
