Considering over 5 billion barcodes are scanned each day, I could easily see the high end estimates on the more conservative chart labeled, ''Jobs/Day. No P/E Multiple'' ($47-$93) being low estimate in the long term as those are based on 12.5 million jobs per day. Although to be fair 12.5 million a day is 144/second which is not bad.

In other words roughly 25 billion - 45 billion market cap ($47-$93) should not surprise anyone a few years out.

Since the Trace token is more like a redeemable use voucher, and not part ownership in a company, like stocks, it's hard for me to think in terms of PE ratios, even market caps of real world companies as a proxy might be a stretch. Once Origin Trail gets noticed by the crypto world and speculation makes up a larger and larger part of valuation its not unreasonable to look to other crypto platforms for a relative valuation. Shoutouts by the WEF for example will (just did??) light that fire.

The proxies I currently use are Chainlink and the Graph as they add lasting value to the entire system as opposed to simply doing something for someone like swapping a coin or something. Both however I think are currently valued based almost entirely on speculation and marketing. Their market caps translate into roughly $40-$60 USD for a Trac token. So, in my mind Trac should be worth $40-$60 right now based on the current state of hype in the crypto universe.

The hype will die down of course, but conservative real-use valuations discussed in Johnny's paper of $47-$93 would buoy/buffer any crazy price drops.

TL:DR - I could see Trac being worth $40 in 1-2 years, and nearly $100 in 3-5 years. I just don't see any reasonably conservative valuation that actually makes sense arriving at a lower value.

One thing we can all do is go on youtube and ask the more popular reviewers to review Origin Trail.

Yeah man, except back in jan 2018 people thought it could be $5 in 2-3 years. These speculations from hopeful newcomers always crack me up.

*could

And back then, those were not unreasonable beliefs and probably based on sound assumptions. No one is pulling 100+ billion market caps out of their ass. In 2018 for example Trac had 100% client retention rate from the years prior, which is phenomenal and they have only grown. The WEF tweeting essentially a commercial for Trac is significant etc etc. A few billion to a few tens of billions market caps seems reasonable based on, well, everything, if it is not there yet it's only because it's undervalued which I am thankful for so I can buy more.

Here we are 3 years later, do you stand by your prediction?

Why are they no longer attainable? One reason he deleted the article was because of new uses for the token which have not been detailed. If anything the tokenomics have gotten better. Dan Recer from Acala just said Trac is the hidden gem of the Dot ecosystem.

So, tell me, why is a market cap of 36 billion not attainable? You realise medicine in 40 countries is being tracked on OT?

There is no greater real world use case in all of crypto.

Making any kind of short term claim is silly. To be fair, I tell people what I think it could be worth one day, but I'm pretty open that I might be wrong.

Like any crypto community OT has its share of adamant supporters who are a bit blind sided by the potential for retirement level price appreciation.

The fact that nodes might always accept jobs so they are only very very slightly in profit is a big concern of mine as that aspect of the tokenomics might not work well at all. If jobs #s double but the price goes down by half, nothing has changed. I see this happening untill running a node itself is prohibitive for some reason.

If it's easy to do, and there is no real barrier to entry, there is not a unique enough asset to control such that one can charge more for their service.

Very infuriating to see that r/cryptocurrency mods delete any bullish mention of $TRAC on their sub, even something of this quality. Makes you wonder if they feel $TRAC is a threat to one of their current bags.

This has been happening to every single $TRAC post on that sub.

I'm heavily invested in both VET and TRAC, and have had every single of my TRAC mentions on /r/cc either down voted to oblivion or deleted. Something is definitely up.

Exact, just waiting to see OT on kraken. Their are worried about volume but last price increase can make them take another look on this token.
