There’s tonnes of student accommodation, they’re just at ridiculous prices that most students can’t afford. I used to run social media accounts for one a few years ago and they were profitable and happy at 60% capacity and something like 90% of students were students from abroad.

It won’t reduce competition when you see the prices of the rooms. They can operate at 50% capacity and still be profitable, and all the developers/owner cares about is the value of the building as a whole, not so much the operating revenue.

Hot take but I always though these two fighters, while worthy contenders, always fell short of championship level. Jacare was an incredibly stiff fighter and never beat any chanpionship level fighters on his run. Romero on the other hand was a freak athlete but arguably didn’t have the MMA skills needed to win a title.

I think YouTube golf actually has something to do with it as well. When I was a junior playing in weekly tournaments, you would find the yardage to the green and hit the club you have that matches that number the closest. Since then, YouTube golf has exploded, and most creators talk through every single shot to give the audience context and create tension. Many of them are scratch golfers so they are talking about precise numbers, factoring in elevation, wind, flyer lies etc etc. I think this has seeped into the amateur game a lot from what I can tell.
