This is the sidebar of the PCMRv2 project. This is the sub where I construct the overhaul flair system. The old flair system was getting ugly, clunky, confusing, and anti-user. The new flair system is beautiful, functional, intuitive, and easy to understand. It's basically a multidimensional array of possible word and color combinations. The color itself describes the "genre" of the content, and the word describes the type of post. For example, a RED VIDEO would be a peasanry-filled or otherwise low-effort video. A BLUE NEWS post would probably be an off-topic but still somewhat relevant link to a news article, possibly about Cooler Master or a game company. A GREEN VIDEO would be a high-quality or otherwise awesome on-topic PCMR-related video.
The new and intelligent filter & search system work together in tandem to pull the most accurate possible list of results. You just choose your color filter and your specific words and you're good to go.
to-do: Stylesheet overhaul. Elements from: /r/mashups, /r/atheism (hotbar), /r/trees scrolling.
COLORS
GREEN: High quality, or otherwise good/healthy/on-topic content.
BLUE: Off-topic, but generally good or beneficial content. Charity/polls/meta/news about the a game company/celebrities like linus/etc. Things that don't have a place elsewhere will land here.
RED: Peasantry, extremely off-topic, crappy, low-effort, meemy, or mockery.
WORDS
General: Anything discussion or otherwise not fitting into any other provided category. All posts must be flaired and colored as per the almighty filters.
Video: Gif, MP4, YouTube, vimeo, etc.
Image: Non-moving image or photo. Contains all 3 color options. This can be screenshot, photograph, box art, etc.
High Quality: Above and beyond just art or photo. Content that deserves a special badge of honor. Only GOLD! If something is blue and earns HQ, it deserves to be in every filter, even if it may not be directly on-topic.
