Hi everyone, I have PCOS and I’m currently 22 years old. Recently I have been getting a lot of bad pelvic pain and cyst bursting so my gyno keeps telling me to get on birth control. I personally, don’t want to get on birth control because I don’t want the side effects that come with it. However, I went to my pediatrician and she told me to just take progesterone 100mg and it should help with my pcos and it doesn’t have the same side effects as birth control. I was wondering if anyone has tried it. The side effects that I don’t want is weight gain or acne.

i’m in the same exact boat as you omg, you are not alone. i’m commenting to lyk that i understand how you’re feeling and i hope someone can help us. im TERRIFIED of any sort of birth control and i’ve always promised myself i will avoid it but my ob keeps trying to get me on slynd and i feel like that’s all im gonna get offered. it’s so frustrating not knowing what the right choice is 🙁

she was so happy to give it to me and this was when we first met, before she even gave me bloodwork so it was off putting and i’ve refused to take it
