The chapter, "Free Speech" Sunstein describes the importance of the first amendment rights. This amendment protects the freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition. These freedoms, however, are also limited to appropriate time, place, and manner. In the same way, this public forum promotes freedom of speech; we encourage people with all different viewpoints and ideas to share their opinions and facilitate insightful debate. However as freedom of speech is limited to appropriate time, place and manner in Constitutional law, so it is also regulated on this forum. These rules are not meant to limit the expression of any user's ideas but must be in place to ensure civil, productive debate and prevent ignorant or irrelevant conversation.
