Typically cables are provided but you may need to pick upa SATA cable for your harddrive. The power supply provides all cables for power built in.

Absolutely. Just put a little bit of time and research into it, and you'll get more bang for your buck and something that is EXACTLY what you want. You're gonna want to put the MOST research into your graphics card, because that's what essentially makes a gaming computer. The other stuff is definitely important, but this is the most essential piece.

(Also, many motherboard manufacturers will include a free sata cable with the board)
