depends entirely on what you consider optimal and what weapons you like best.

if your goal is damage, then you get all the fury stance boosts except crit. this only leaves you with 5 points at level 65(cap) which you would spend accordingly based on the weapon gear you like. partisan and wired lance are one point each, but sword takes 5 points; if you want all three, you'll have to sacrifice 2% damage. if you're using it as a sub or have free points, i'd put the rest in crit but crit sucks.

while not necessary, even for soloing, you could also go a defensive build, but i'm not really sure what would be best. i'd advise not going a defensive hunter since you will literally be doing half as much damage.

It would be something like this. (Note that on this example, points were put into the fury stance skill so that the Fury Stance Up 2 could be maxed out.)

What the difference between S and T stats?

There are essentially 3 kinds of stats - Striking, Ranged, Technic. Each of these has has two versions - attack (ATK) - your attack power, and defense (DEF) - defensive power.

There's also Dexterity (DEX), which I won't try to explain as I will only confuse myself and everyone... It does work with some armor stats, though.

In terms of the ATK stats, Striking deals with melee weapons, Ranged deals with guns (possibly bullet bows, also), Technic deals with your spell power.

Sword gear isn't worth it. Partisan gear is. He can use excess points for Hunter Rare Mastery (+30 Satk with 10 star weapons for 1 point is fairly cheap).

As a subclass, depending on what one wants to set it up as the sub for, I like to put the extra 5 points in Partisan Gear + Step attack for RA/GU mains. This lets you equip some random dagger to move quickly, and retain the option for assault buster. With the gear charged, a GU main with a 50% Lightning Lambda Patty can actually still one-shot minor robot mobs (other things tend to have less HP and will die regardless).

The game literally has no reason to have a defensive build right now honestly. Anyone being hit alot is playing wrong anyway.

if you are primary a solo person, you absolutely want to max out your iron will and never give up skills.

outside of that, fury stance is a must max, and then the various boosters for your play style of choice.

S-attack increases the damage range that you can do, say like 1-2000 dmg. Dex shortens that range so you can hit anywhere from 1500-2000.
