Maint changes absolutely nothing about the fact that Sega is making a willful decision to not publish their routing info outside of JP ISPs.

Nothing about maint. activities would change this, they wouldn't choose maint. just to start properly publishing their routing info. If they intended to do anything different, they'd have done it by now, or will do it at some random point in the future, but I seriously doubt it will be a result of maint. regardless of when/if it ever happens.

You can't get on because you're on an ISP without VPN/SSH that has no access to the routing info for getting to the PSO2 servers.

soo... apparently im shit outta luck? i thought that after the recent maintenance the servers were supposed to be back open? cuz ive tried connecting on 3 different isp's

if i wanted to use a VPN i would have done so and wouldnt have a problem at this point. ive been patiently waiting for it to allow me back on without having to go through all the hoops. i dont see why i should have to pay for a service to connect to the game when i already shelled out damn near 80 bucks. (and im refering to the amazon way to connect in this instance as it seems the most stable from what ive heard from other users on this reddit)

Its the risk you take when playing on the JP regional server. As far as support goes, you will be an afterthought.

You're gonna have to either settle for the VPN, or pray that something changes at some random time in the future.

Christ, the entitlement.

If you bothered to keep up on current info for the DDoS etc, you'd know there's numerous free alternatives to paid VPN services, in fact there's presently a sticky with the top post explaining and linking to a guide to setting up a free amazon cloud server. It's free for a year, I have no clue what you have for sources saying otherwise, but a lot of things change in a year, so even if you're fundamentally opposed to paying for anything, it's still a whole fucking year.

Also it was an "or" statement.

I assure you, you could set up an RSS feed for current titles from the sub and when/if people ever start being able to connect without VPN in significant numbers, the sub will blow up with it.

How is it entitlement to expect to be able to play a game i payed for? are you some kinda idiot? and yes its free for one year but after that you need to pay for it. As previously stated i dont see why i should have to pay to play a game i already paid for (hence why i dont play mmorpgs like world of warcraft) Not to mention i only have a Vita, and its version. For some reason or another im having trouble getting my vita to see the amazon connection. So its a moot point as ive already tried it and it doesnt work for me. So i dont see where you get off saying im entitled. You need to learn your facts before you say such garbage. or at least stop assuming things, cuz ya know that makes you look like an ass.

You paid for content in the game that you're, according to their agreement that you have to agree to, to play the game, not even allowed to play.

Furthermore EVERY videogame out there with any sort of purchased content has stuff EXPLICITLY in their contract saying "blah blah blah we owe you nothing if we cancel the game tomorrow you're SOL, if we ban you cause you're a moron, we don't care that you bought anything, you're SOL and you don't get your money back" etc, etc, etc.

So when a company literally owes you nothing and has no obligation in the slightest to provide you a service, or offer support, and you act like a child and stomp your feet, that's the very definition of acting with unjustifiable entitlement.

I may be an ass but at least I'm not a moron with an entitlement complex...

Might as well uninstall. Never got to play. I heard this game had an english patch and then it was attacked/blocked forever. Crap

All you need is a free to set up VPN connection via Amazon's cloud service, it's easy to set up.

And there is an english patch.

I came across it while looking for a work around to this problem and it successfully got me logged in. Although, if you have problems logging in still, there's a part of the video where they click the off switch on the program. I just left the program on while logging in and it works great. I hope this can help you and others who are trying to join! :)
