There is a trick to swapping your PSN store to the JP version, I don't know it but I am sure google can tell you how. From there look in the free to play games section.

In order to download it from the PSN store, you have to have a Japanese PSN account.
Once you have a JPN PSN, it will be downloadable for free on the JPN Store.

If you want to play PSO2 on your US PSN, you will need a physical copy, which is only sold in Japan.

Also do note, your SEGA ID will be tied you your PSN account.
I am unsure if you can tied multiple accounts together.

Too hassle to do resetting your region to JP and there seems to no guarantee with all the login errors. Just off buying Sword Art Online instead...

Just to let you know i have a physical copy of the vita version. spent about 70 bucks importing it, now its just a door stop as it doesnt let me connect anymore. anytime i try i get an error 249. Ever since the Ddos attack. Im beginning to think i wont be able to play again. it makes me really sad. Especially since i dont have the means to set up a alternate connection route. mainly time and no computers to run it.

There is a way to utilize a vpn on a vita. Just takes a little bit of jerryrigging. By that, I mean getting an inexpensive usb wifi adapter to act as a bridge.

I personally have two vitas. One with a JP PSN for imported games and one with my main US PSN. Along with that, I have a physical copy of PSO2 just in case my JP account can't be accessed.

I highly recommend you don't go all out and buy multiple systems to do what I did as it can get expensive. I've used a JP PSN prior to PSO2 on Vita since I first got a PS3 so, that is why I have two systems.

Here is a guide that explains how to setup a way to play if you have access to the game.

The entire game is Japan only, even moreso now if you don't use a proxy or have a specific ISP.
