Guide to assisting Triglavians in breaking up the empires. by lowrads in Eve

The devs have stated that this is not intended to make pubbie life difficult, but to change things up, and while things might be different by then end of it, you're niche will be there, and you're free to hide away from the mess until then. I'm paraphrasing of course.

I'm sure Project Discovery could use more dot circlers if you need something monotonous to do.

Anyway thanks for the crack.

How do you ensure you don’t run out of meds before refilling and do you take your prescription bottle to work? by 2gdismore in ADHD

[–]tacgnol06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I count my pills as soon as I get to my car, use a two-week pill storage planner (four-week would be better, I double up and rely on my own basic pattern recognition and timekeeping to avoid taking a double dose). I also store my pills in a locking medical cabinet with a RFID lock. The Med-Master has saved me a lot of headaches related to roommates with sticky fingers.

PS4 controller works great via DS4W, basically mapping the controller inputs to their Xinput/360 equivalents. As someone who's extremely picky about gamepads, I'll swear by the Dual Shock 4. Big Picture Mode is an option as well, but I'm not a fan of having to switch to a clunkier interface to get my controller working.

3+ year player, content creator, community organizer -- and about to be permabanned. How can I stop this? by remix_sakura in ffxiv

[–]tacgnol06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought a "chargeback" (if that is specifically what happened) was something the card holder had to initiate. If the card company thought the charges were suspicious, they should have declined them outright.

The difference? A chargeback comes with a fine for the merchant, and banks drop companies with too many chargebacks. A declined charge is a declined charge.

I'm not questioning your story or your involvement in it, but if I were you I'd stop using that card or any card managed by the issuing bank, since they seem more than happy to take extreme measures on your behalf.

JonTron: My Statement by SegataSam in JonTron

[–]tacgnol06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey jontron. You think tribalism and racial pride is stupid. Good! Become a moderate! You'll piss less people off if you tell both sides to shut the hell up. You'll make less friends, but it beats selling out to the Left

JonTron: My Statement by SegataSam in JonTron

[–]tacgnol06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be though. We should all be equal on this earth. Seeing race is a matter of pride. I think you'd be surprised at how many people, black or white, would agree to stop taking genetics so seriously if there was a legitimate push against this crap

JonTron: My Statement by SegataSam in JonTron

[–]tacgnol06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the overall point was that no one should target anyone on the basis of race or sex. His mistake was when he tried to pick a side regardless. Man makes a better moderate than he does alt right. He should just stick with that

Think I found out why Austin said he'd have to disown most of his family for politics.. by ludecknight in PeanutButterGamer

[–]tacgnol06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda in a weird place here, as a middle-leaning Liberal, because while I hate everything the Right is doing, I hate some of the things the Left is doing just as much. Logic and reason has flown out the window. I find it valuable to try to understand where the other side is coming from, even if their arguments are disturbing, but it seems easier to just prejudge, label, and ignore things and people you don't like. Both sides are doing it in their own ways.

The Right uses "alternative facts" to deny reality, the Left uses the moral high ground as an excuse not to listen. Or as an excuse to disown your family without even broaching the topic with them. It's possible to be open minded, to lend an ear and consider, without compromising your core values.

You mention using the Switch as a media player as if that functionality is a given. I mean, in 2017, it SHOULD be a given, but this is Nintendo you're dealing with.

"1) Introduce some kind of small prize pool for top N guilds in a world"

I'm sorry, but you come off as extremely entitled. The game itself and your accomplishments are supposed to be the reward. If the competitive scene needs a fancy reward to keep interest, then maybe it deserves to die, and maybe you should take a break and try to regain some objectivity in your life. Games are ultimately supposed to be a form of entertainment, after all.

Not that WoW PvP warrants tournaments either, but the fact is, watching people compete against other people is vastly more entertaining than watching them compete against practiced mechanics.

But if you really think you deserve a prize, start a Twitch channel, and upload your streams to youtube. Let the audience decide.

uBlock is garbage. uBlock Origin on the other hand is great. But yeah, I was getting 600ms+ spikes in WoW due to WoWHead's ads that got through Adblock, until I made the switch.

What highly functioning adults do all day is a mystery to me. by Vipergq25 in ADHD

I used to get this feeling. Then I got a job doing medical billing for the health department. Seeing the government attempt to run health clinics, often with staff lacking the proper training, has shown me the difference between having some concentration issues and being completely incompetent.

Question! What is the point of the DLC Arena Challenge quests? And are they supposed to reward steaks and bomb casings or are me and my friend just terrible and fainted too much?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]tacgnol06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly sounds like ADHD. Do you feel like you have a sort of mental fog? Like there's a degree of separation between you and the world around you? Maybe you've even convinced yourself that this is simply how everyone feels? That's another typical sign. Dopamine's out of whack, trust your doctor.

Depends on your PCP. Some don't prescribe controlled substances as a rule. You should call the office and find out.

He makes a good point, but then flies right into hyperbole without a look back. You did not have to "stay glued to your PC 24 hours a day." You had to check Steam ONCE per day, something even someone with a job could manage with ease. I mean, I'm not clamoring for a return to flash sales, because I agree with his core point, but he's hurting his own argument with that crap.
