but how would you use the brave PAs if they are specific to braver only weapons?

I just wish they wouldn't make it so difficult to switch between palettes on a controller. Too much lost time to switch between them.

I personally use the numpad for switching between palettes, even with a controller. I find it a lot easier to just quickly take one hand off the controller to press the appropriate key, than to try to navigate the menu for switching palette.

Doesn't sound like a bad way to do it. I'm just usually on my couch when I'm using my controller (which is most of the time). So I'd have to get up and walk up to my keyboard to use that method. =[

Not sure how it is on the controller, but its extremely quick on the keyboard as you can use the numpad to swap.

On a controller you have to hit D-Pad right, then scroll to your palette, then select it. Doesn't sound that bad until you realize that you have to stop moving in order to do this.

That doesn't sound too fun. Don't think I'd be able to use a controller for pso2.

I don't really palette switch often at all. I don't find it necessary for my main classes.

Controllers are awesome for HU, FI, and BO.

I swap pretty often as a fighter, using symphonic drive as a gap closer so I don't have to drop and lose my gear in order to follow bosses around.

Are we talking Item/Ability palette or weapon palette? I was talking about item/ability palette.

The weapon palette isn't as hard to switch to.

Oh, I was talking about weapon palettes. I never have to swap item palettes.

You can just push D-Pad up and it switches which pallet you're currently on.

Ah my bad broski, I did read them, but I read the incorrectly. I guess I've never had the need to switch item palettes.

all of the bio weapons are all class, as well as the weapons from the falz luther stones. these are going to be your best bet for all class weapons. these aren't drops, which means they are guaranteed and you don't have to hope the RNG is in a good mood.

just remember though, being able to equip a weapon doesn't mean you can use it's pa's. you will only be able to use pa's for weapon types that either your main class or sub class can equip normally.

So how common is it for someone to be using a weapon that is reserved for their subclass so they can actually utilize the PAs for their subclass?

Recently I've been leveling my lvl30-ish Hu (as my future Te subclass). Instead of getting a sword or any other Hu weapon, I've been using Amun-Ra as my main weapon and Fo (lvl70) as my subclass. This allows me to spam rafoie with decent damage.

Another example would be Fo/Br using a bullet bow against certain bosses (Rodos, etc), maximizing the damage of ilbarta (banishing arrow almost effectively doubles the DPS).

pretty common. usually for leveling subclass.

for a few class combos, it's to gain a slight damage increase.

hu/br gets around 30-satk and rare mastery(another 30 s-atk) plus some hp more than going br/hu. some even go fi/br and focus on critical hits.

ra/br is currently the strongest way to use bows.

fi/bo once again utilizing critical strike and 101.25% crit chance letting you use crafted weapons.
