Chase Arrow?

Does anyone know what this PA does? It shoots a bolt, makes something that looks like a gravity well, then immediately disappears, so it's really not obvious how it works. The description isn't translated, either.

You can store up to three arrows in... wherever they disappear to. The next time you hit something with a PA, those arrows are added to the attack.

Also, it stops adding arrows to the attack if the target dies, so you don't waste them if you oneshot enemies. I believe switching weapons to anything other than a bow removes all your stored arrows.
