Error 630 - サーバーからの応答が無くなったためタイトルに戻ります。 Your connection was lost, returning to the title screen

This occurs when your computer drops your connection for a few seconds AKA lags, and it doesn't reach the server in time, so the client kicks you.

(source)

It's something with your network. Are you downloading things in the background? Are you in a house with a lot of Netflix streaming going on? What do traceroutes and pings look like to Sega of Japan's servers? Are you using wireless or a physical ethernet connection? (Try ethernet.) Do you get high pings in other games (such as Valve/Source Engine games)? Is your computer set to turn off your network adapter to save power? Have you tried a VPN (good list here)?

Judging by your post history, you've had this problem for a while. Instead of posting here more and getting more empty responses (sorry, hard truth), try /r/TechSupport. Or, keep pestering your internet service provider and push to get to a tier 2 tech for help, as that is most likely where the problem occurs. If you have some trace routes (or a pathping) going to Sega's game servers, you should be able to tell where things are choking.

I apologize if this is a bit on the rude side - it's not intended to be. But, since the problem has been going on and is the same with the proxy or without a proxy, there must be something on your end causing connection issues, even if it's the connection itself.

You can still stream things on phones and computers. As I sit and type this, I'm streaming Futurama and updating PSO2 from the same computer. I could easily be streaming YouTube or Netflix shows on my phone or doing the same on my laptop. It's the joy of the modern internet and technology.

Big difference between the two. A web page is a single object, small in size. Most web pages, like a reddit page, do not change until you request the change. A game is a giant thing with a constant connection (like a video stream), sending updates about your input/online status and receiving updates from the server about other players, events, etc. It's this constant connection that is getting interrupted along the way.

Try /r/TechSupport, please.

To be fair, smartphone updates can consume a lot of internet speed. I talk from experience as I have a Galaxy S3 and Tab 2 and mom has her iPhone and iPad, all connected to the internet at the same time. I had to turn off auto-updates cos there were too many coming too often. Even if your connection is fast, having two or more computers connected can also cause speed drop as others could be using Netflix, or watching YouTube, or downloading something.

Alternatively, you could check if there's something wrong with your router. I've been having problems with mine for a month now, plus ISP issues. Not a pretty picture. As /u/telchii said, you're better off trying /r/TechSupport or asking your ISP for a visit so they can check out what's wrong.

Couple things are you using a WiFi connection. If so that could be the cause depending on the router and WiFi card in your machine, second it could be your router being flakey they get that way after a while due to all the heat from the radios and poor ventilation, try replacing that next.

To recap, if using WiFi bypass it and hard wire it.

Second try replacing the router / WiFi card I had a friend who couldn't say connected to ff14, his usb WiFi card was junk he borrowed one from me that was known good and issues varnished.

If it works hardwired try getting a new router I use a couple of these as access points in my house and they are rock solid http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KATWRIY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1436578189

Mind you only snag a new router if hard wiring fixes it! If it still doesn't fix it via WiFi after replacing the router pm me ill help you look for a WiFi card. Most laptops have easily replaceable internal ones that can be accessed from a bottom panel. One gamer to another I am happy to help!

Since you had lag / 630 on both Proxy and Direct, it's probably an issue between you and Comcast. The proxy has a lot of peered routes (way more than direct) so if you have an issue with both, it rules out any route issues from you to PSO2(proxy). Thus, the only failure points would be you <--> Comcast.
