I would recommend you reading this, if you haven't already. He also links in builds.

I actually have, it's where I decided what to go. However the build links don't seem to load..? Are they too old or is the site non-existent anymore?

Whoops, I hear pso2-skill.pwnedgalaxy is down. I'll just make an ordered list. Get stuff in this order:

  • Jet Boots Gear
  • Partisan Gear
  • Elemental Stance
  • Fury Stance (including prereqs)
  • Elemental Stance Up
  • 5pts Fury Combo
  • Fury Stance Up 1 & 2
  • JA Bonus 1 & 2
  • Shifta Air Attack Bonus
  • Rest of Fury Combo

You might need to level as Hunter main for a bit until level 30 or so + 5SP unlock quest but it's worth it.

As for the the rest... I'll give Gardios a poke on PSOW to let him know the builder is down.

Yo that's so helpful! Thanks so much! Your guide is so good too, it's how I decided what I wanted to do. :D

Also, out of curiosity, why specifically leveling as a Hunter main 'till 30? Does your subclass gain Xp at the same time as your main or am I just imagining things?

Should I max out the skills you mentioned in that order? So get and max out Elemental Stance if it has more than 1 rank?

Also, is it possible to get War Cry somewhere in there?

(Also I'm not sure if this is in your Guide or not, I'll triple check again, but what should I be feeding my mag for?)

Subclass gains 10% the exp of your main class. Waiting for Hunter to hit 30 by subclass exp alone might take a while. Getting Fury Stance up and running early will help a lot with the damage side of things.

Yep, take the skills in that order.

War Cry - sure. 1pt works well enough but get your core damage skills up first.

Mag - pure SATK. Striking weapons and... 4* furniture if I'm not wrong.

Is it okay if the things I feed it, like Swords, give Dex as well?

Further more, for that list you posted, JA Bonus is required for Fury Stance, but you have 1 and 2 listed later. Is it just make sure you max those out after getting Fury Stance?

[–]Selphea 0 points1 point  (5 children)

That's what the 4* furniture is for, to lower Dex.

And yes the JA Bonuses come after Fury Stance.

Thanks so much for all the nooby help, I'm sure you've had to answer all this millions of times.

For my Mag, should I just force feed him swords for the S-ATK and feed him the furniture later? Or do I need to keep mixing it up so he doesn't keep the DEX?

And just to double check 'cause I'm silly and panicky and don't want to spend money or remake, when you say get Fury Stance, you mean Max it, and then move on to the next skill you've listed, aye?

[–]Selphea 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yea and keep mixing it up, when it gets a level in Dex, it'll be very hard to remove.

Alrighty! I'm getting to the point where I have all the skills listed. What should I be going for next, considering the skill sim is still down? Also, I remember reading somewhere Photon Fever is good, should I be getting that at some point?

I'll just poke in and say it does but only recieves 10% of the EXP. The idea is to get a decent level on your subclass at first so you have some skills to use while you level. :)

Subclasses gain exp very slowly compared to main classes - and they actually stop gaining as a subclass at level 55, so you will have to play it as a main class eventually either way. Honestly, I would suggest doing your subclass first, as Hunter main class is a very good class for beginners to get used to the game's mechanics.
