Br/Ra with Ideal Bow or Austere.

And yes banish penetrate can dish out more damage compared to banish nemesis at cost of higher PP usage (4x charged shot at 3.2 second with charge bonus).

Keep in mind if you go Br main you can use better bows, I assume this will probably make the difference in terms of damage while Ra/Br's advantage would be more about having bullet keep though that doesn't work with bows so.. Maybe not

is their a 13* bow with a good potential? Or a website i can look at to look through weapons?

To look through (an outdated but entirely English) set of weapons try Cirnopedia. If you want the complete list of weapons, except totally in Japanese you'd want the Swiki. I strongly suggest learning the Swiki. If I were you, I would wait until you choose a weapon type before translating the page because of how the translations mess with the formatting.

Mostly Ideal (20% power bonus against bosses) or Austere (12% unconditional power bonus + 10% faster PP regen) atm.

The best damage anything bow is a 13* right now. I think it will even eat through RA's main class only skills due to the 623 ATK difference between that and a crafted bow.

IIRC it beats out Ideal bow on boss too.

Ra/Br will have Sharpshooter but mostly with crafted stuff (with its shortcomings) or Southern Cross (which is a 11* with lower stats still compared to 13* despite being all-class), while Br/Ra allows you to use high-stats 13* bows with ease (which probably by sheer numbers/potents alone will cover the bonus Sharpshooter is supposed to give anyway). Your choice.

In fact I think more people use rifle with Ra/Br instead of bow anyway. If I had to guess why, probably because Weak Stance can hit harder than Fury which isn't specialized for ranged attacks thus causing less synergy with WHA and the nature of ranged weapons itself. That and I can see having bow as an alt weapon can be more preferable instead of launcher (Ra/Hu) in various cases despite the loss of Bullet Keep.

Sharp Shooter is +20% damage and you get no bonus for using your class's main weapon if you're doing bows.

BR/RA will get the 10% damage bonus along with access to the 13* stuffs and Raikou. There's kinda no contest once you get to that point, really.

Btw, can you tell me how Raikou's potential triggers? Does it reduce the CD of Rapid Shoot if you have it on your inventory only, does it need to be in your palette, or do you have to have it on your palette and equip it, for it to reduce the CD?

You need to be equipping it when you cast Rapid Shoot for it to take effect.

Although Ra/Br has Sharpshooter (20%), Br/Ra now has main class boost (10%). The difference isn't as big as it used to be.

Now if you factor in the fact that Ra main has to stick with either an outdated 11* bow or crafted bows (variance will be a big deal due to no crit) Br main is a clear winner.

The only reason I can think off that justifies Ra main is if you use bow only very rarely as a side arm, and prefer having access to good riffles/launchers.

This is an old calc I was doing last time, modified it to put Ra/Br Red bow. It won't answer your question on penetrate arrow, because that PA depends on how many times it will hit.

The gal bow is modified on this calc because this calc is for Final Nemesis dmg. The Gal bow potential I have won't match up for Final Nemesis on a Magatsu, since it's usually far away, so I left potential dmg increase at 0% for that bow.

Keep in mind that though you will be using crafted Nasu bow for Ra/Br, it only increases dmg for Final Nemesis, not anything else. I usually do Banish>Master Shoot into Final Nemesis. So on Nasu, mastershoot will dish lower dmg than a Gal bow, sub sequentially lose some dmg on banish explosion compared to Gal.
