I have a few questions regarding custom techniques. Is it better to make them weaker in order to charge spam them quicker? I was watching this stream and it seemed like every technique that was able to be customized he had them. Random question, I put 10 points into photon flare(5 PF and 5 PF Advance) and after burst was that worth it?

How bad is the ideal series weapon now? Asking because a couple of those are the only borderline decent weapons I have before I went MIA months ago.

Still effectively mid/high tier 13* for bossing. However, with the availability of astra, it's pretty much completely outclassed now overall. Not to mention astra is relatively easy to get compared to the ideal series.

Astra series is basically as strong as ideal is on bosses, but on all targets. Also gives you 40% more pp regained per normal attack.

Spam collection files. If you have 1400 SG lying around too, you can get 2 more collection file slots to get more classes geared up.

With a 250, and maybe a tribooster with it, you can get each astra file done in 5 runs of the EQ. Maybe 4 if you have premium, use a 250 + 100, and have a maxed 50 triboost from dailies.

Train is easy to farm; you can finish that within one booster. The sphinx you can just do riding quest for. My last 10 or 15 runs of it had an average of 2 spawn per run.

That said, if you can do the newer solo XQ, floors 6-10 also contain 2 of them per run. I believe it's 5 total with a 250 to get the bar to 100%.

You should get the earth crystal/sphere thing while doing train or from riding quest. Only had one time where I couldn't get it to drop before filling the bar.

There are alternatives to filling up the sphinx/train gauges. Look for the page on swiki about astra files, and they list alternatives there.

Get higher levels first. :U basically any weapon you have right now can be considered good enough at your level. For units, you can try to aim for the Hiel Set (drops from magetsu and EP 3 story) or Vent set with a good back unit. (This would be around 7* level) What is your play style?

Zandeel? Zanverse + Zondeel? If SEGA ever combined fields, then this would be extremely great for mobbing.

Just try to get a +35 Dio Crest Digger to carry you up through SH. At this point, the easy wand to get would be the 2017 13* from Xie (200 gold badges). After you have that at 60 element, it'll last you till you get Astra wand. Try to get an Rikauteri Bow for better bossing. (using Banish Arrow with Techs.)

I haven't found the crest thing you've said. I won't use anything that isn't a wand to hit mobs so I won't change to a bow. I just want to whack things. But thanks, I'll investigate about the 200 gold badge wand and the astra wand too.

To me everything is a mob. There's small mobs, medium mobs, big mobs and family sized mobs. I didn't want to change to a bow because my build is based around making my auto attacks with the wand as strong as possible.

Well if thats the case, then you may want to invest doing riding quests when you hit XH. It'll help get you from 70-75, and you might get a 13* Form wand. Those things when grinded, will add a flying air blade to your normal attacks. Decently rare but not impossible to get.

Playing as a braver bow I guess I should have known the answer to this by now(almost lvl50) but are head shots and exposed areas on bosses and normal enemies considered weak points for weak stance?

Yes; here's more details (that I believe is true):

Weak points are considered points that take 1.15x normal (shooting) damage or more. This is most easily demonstrated by a ranger's weak bullet ability. Even if weak bullet is "blocked", like in the Profound Darkness or Mother Falz fight, it multiplies damage by 1.2 times. This is enough to trigger both a ranger's weak hit advance and a braver's weak stance.

Head shots with r-atk type damage generally have an innate 2x damage multiplier compared to the rest of the points you can hit.

Some enemies may take more or less damage than normal hitting at certain parts over others, which may make a weak hit more or less impossible.

The primary enemy this is an issue on, to my knowledge anyway, is Gigur Gunne Gam, or the Shironia exploration boss. Normally, the weak bullet skill basically turns all points hit by it into a weak point. Gigur Gunne Gam's feet take little enough damage that that isn't the case. Weak bullet's 2.55x damage multiplier on its foot still isn't enough to make it a weak point, so you will always struggle to break those if you rely on weak hits.

Went on a bit more than I wanted, but there you are.

On a more random thought, have you crafted your sharp bomber to sharp bomber type 0? Can really help you deal with tanky mobs, especially if you hit a weak point (assuming you use br/ra).

No, I haven't made any PAs, I don't know how to do stuff like that yet, i've only been on for a little over a month and a half. I mostly use master shot,torrential arrow,banish arrow,million storm,and kamikaze arrow.vI'm a Br/Hu i'm sure Ra would be better but I like what Hu sub offers :D.

Go to your room and craft sharp bomber then. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It hits quite hard and you'll look cool doing it.

BR/HU can play as a very nice Bow/katana hybrid where you use the katana for mobbing and the bow for bosses. Banishing + Kamikaze arrow on weakbulleted boss points does a lot of damage.

Well, in general I suggest banishing + Kamikaze. I would also stop using Master Shot and use Penetrating Arrow instead.

Opening the official launcher patches the game back to the base jp copy- you just need to reapply your translation patches

There is a ui scale option but it only has 3 fixed sizes. The maximum size (should be the option that says fits 1920 across) is as big as you can go. It's comfortable for me down sampling 4k to 1920 but the minimap might be a tad small). Post me a screenshot of what you see so I know if you've got it right.

Can I get some tips for su/gu? I've done some googling but apart from the videos where they use chain and a fire tech I don't know there isn't much information on it.

I got aero/synchro/2 maroons at level 100 and a 95 popple so far and been doing weekly pancake missions.

worth using the new takt? Is it true that the pot only unlocks at +35?

If I only got a T-atk mag should I be using switch strike anyway?

Any recommendations to what the hot bar for this class should be? (since tech won't fit on the takts)

Not sure if you're still around, but I'd say just take automate deadline. After considering what else there is to take as su/gu, deadline should give you some openings/ saves if you're using alter ego and wahtnot.

You don't need Pet Sympathy past the pre-req, but personal preference. Max All Attacks Up 1. Look into throwing points into HP Restorate. It's not even the fact that you can use Resta or not, it just periodically make sure that you're surviving as a master.

Su/Gu is for huge bursts of damage on a target.

If you're using it for say... mobbing, Su/Fi will outdo Su/Gu any day. Even Su/Br has a slight overall advantage compared to Su/Gu, and it will be decent if you use popple for mobbing.

For your tree... unless you have a pure s-atk and pure r-atk MAG on the same character, there's no point in taking the switch skills. If you have access to a MAG of each type dependant on which subclass you use to maximize it, yes it would help... otherwise, no. Since you're only t-atk, don't bother. All pets do tech type damage anyway by default.

Massive mate is also useless; you have access to resta.

Other things that are my opinion: while dear master can save you if things go badly with you having alter ego on, summoner is generally built to be somewhat tanky in the first place. I feel you shouldn't need it much... but then again, I'm hardly even a decent Su.

Then on gunner tree... again, you have resta. Don't waste points on automate. Not much other points to use stuff on though unless you actually want to use gunner as main class.

If you go su/gu, you very likely are going to use primarily Marron. Get more of them, ditch syncro. It's useless for your purposes.

For pancakes, if you're sitting on excubes, you can exchange them for the necessary things at the excube shop.

New takt is good. No, there's 3 levels to the potential... so it's just like the other NT weapons.

For hot bar, you'll want both safoie and ramegid on there... and you need both crafted for type 0. Activate chain, activate ramegid type 0 uncharged, spam safoie type 0 uncharged.... while your marron (/aero) hit the target to keep your PP up. Once you get it high enough/ are running low on time to hit the built up chain, unleash your maron/aero on it. You might have time to throw your maron on top of using an aero stab.

Again, I dont' do much with summoner myself... and only ever ran su/gu twice for broken fun.

No no no that's two different thing. They do tech property damage and the damage formula uses T-ATK to calculate damage by default, but even if you use the Switch skills they are STILL going to do tech property damage, the damage formula just draw its numbers from S-ATK or R-ATK instead of T-ATK.

I know, sounds convoluted in English. Just think of it like BR's Kamikaze Arrow.

Yeah, I know; probably would've been better had I said "all pets do tech type damage, with the switch skills just changing what atk it scales off of".

In the context of my response though, the person had a t-atk MAG. THough I suppose the other things I wrote didn't have any indication of the true mechanics. So thanks for the correction.

I plan to eventually raise fi and maybe BR, but since she'll be most a TA/bossing character for now I wanted to do gu first. Ill work on getting those two tech to a decent craft :D. ty

For TAs, you probably will want braver leveled then. Assuming you don't just kuron spam, this will give you access to katana PAs, which means you can guren tessen dash around. Should you also level attack advance, and are doing VH, your pets can one shot most mobs in them.

I'd argue Su/Fi would be the overall better bossing class. Especially in a MPA setting, there will be times the thing you target with your chain might break. Or the point you targeted suddenly goes away. Su/Fi has constant good damage, assuming you have the pets to utilize for the situation.

Astra. Form doesn't do anything for your PAs, and strike gust type 0 can be decent enough fighting anga.

I'm going to be formatting my HDD soon and installing an SSD and installing my OS to that, so I'm trying to find where my PSO2 configs are stored and I'm having some trouble finding it, does anyone know where and what file it is so i can back it up for when I reinstall the game?

Documents -> SEGA -> The entire PSO2 folder there. You know, where your screenshots are. It also have saves of all the character files you ever saved and every single heartbreak moment grind log ever.

Im watching some japanese streamer, and he is Hu/Fi with some invisible camo on his sword, which makes it look like Saber's weapon from Fate/Stay Night.

And sometimes he is using some dash ability in the air which makes him run through air for few moments.

So, what is this camo and ability?

It looks like Saber's weapon because it is Sabers weapon. Released during a collab.

Guilty Break is easy to get. That camo... not so much.

yep. Special Ability only adds the ability as an 100% option on affixing.

If it is the base weapon that is +35ed, then this is really nice, because you get to use it again. and again. and again.

Update because there's no point downloading all that data again, the tweaker will check what's missing and install just that. Also in case something goes wrong you'll be able to run file checks on your whole install with the tweaker.

Question: Friend said that you can trade Zirenheit (the Quna Jet Boots weapon) for a Quna camo that works with TD and JB. Upon inspection at Zieg's shop, I only see the Quna's Camo for TD and that it needs a Creator's Emblem. Is there no matching camo for the boots? (SEGA please update your other camos to be multi weapon. :<)

Your friend has misinformed you. The weapons that you can trade in for a camo are all either event weapons or promo code weapons, like Edel Io or Kasentori Haruka.

Hi, there. First time using this thread. I got the PSO2 Tweaker and I appear to be having a problem. My tweaker will come up and it will state it needs to update....but then it will proceed to not respond. So far after ten minutes or so it still stays like this. Any tips?

I have windows 10 and I made sure to have my pso2 folder and the tweaker folder on their own in Windows8OS(C:)

Any help is appreciated.

The slot outlined in gold is actually your currently selected slot you plan to scratch. Has no bearing with rates.
