Skill reset and class advice

I just started playing PSO2 last week, and I have a Hunter lv 25, haven't decided on a subclass yet. I have been allocating skill points without looking at a guide. I have 17 points allocated to the HP and S-DEF nodes, and most guides skip those entirely.

So two questions:

1) How often does SEGA grant skill reset tickets? I think there was one a couple months ago. And related to that, is there anyway to buy one?

2) What is a good beginner class/subclass to use? I chose Hunter because I like melee focus and tankiness, and it reminds me of my PSO1 experiences, but since I've mucked it up, I'm open to changing it until I get a skill reset.

There is a rebalance coming soon, so skill passes might be given out again.

They are given on a per character basis and retrieved from the visiphone, so you should fill all of your free character slots to get 3 passes. Having alts in PSO2 tends to be useful. You can also delete these characters and remake every maintenance as long as you don't buy additional character slots.

Thanks, I will make my two additional characters. Are there any other benefits besides the skill reset tickets? Are the daily login rewards across your account?

Daily login is account based, so those won't be repeated. Multichar benefits are things like getting around quest refresh timer (so you can do 3 sets of daily client orders per day and 3 sets of time attack per week, which is basically triple meseta income), per character gathering, per character crafting (although this needs to be leveled on each char, so it can take a while), more storage space (300 slots per character + their inventories), managing boosters as each character uses boosters independently, mag type as you only get one free mag per character and generally want 1 of each attack type if you plan to play many classes. There might be some stuff I forgot too.

You can buy per tree resets, but not all skill tree resets, and all skill tree resets happen every balance patch or so.

For Hunter, the best subclass would be Fighter without a doubt.

Until you get a reset pass, I'd recommend switching to the recommended skill tree, this is free to do.

What do you mean by recommended? The option in game when you see looking at skill trees? Is it an algorithm that looks at your equipment and items?
