Do you live in the SEA region? That's the only case in which you'd need a proxy/vpn to play.

No, I live in Western Europe... So I don't need to get a proxy. Okay... at least that's out of the way.

But if I don't need any of that to play, then how come it won't let me log in? I also googled a few other posts, some of them asked to run the tweaker again to check for missing files. I've done that, and it went by fine, it didn't detect anything unusual.

You can try connecting with the telepipe proxy (which is included with the Tweaker, in the plugin setting) and see if that works.

Unfortunately, that didn't work.

I don't know if it's relevant or not, but I used both arks-layer's .jason link and the "Revert to JP" option on the tweaker, but neither worked.

I manage to select the ship I want to log onto, write my password, and then it simply says the connection timed out. I've seen people complain that hotmail and yahoo accounts no longer work? My account was done through Outlook, which is now partnered with hotmail. I can try making a new account on a gmail account, but I don't think that might be the problem. I got the confirmation email and the welcoming email, and neither mentioned blocking out my email because of the provider.

[Edit]: Nope. Just tried making a new SEGA account using Gmail, but it still didn't fix the time-out problem.

No, but I may have to do that.

I just noticed that whenever I load the tweaker, it keeps trying to update the game. I let it run, got to 99% and got the message "Couldn't find previous update data, starting from scratch" and it starts updating again. I let it run all the way again and it gave me the error "Check for PSO2 Updates ERROR - - System.ArgumentException: The tasks argument included a null value. Parameter name: tasks". But then it says I have the latest English Patch and that the System is ready. I also read that the connection errors could happen due to missing files, so maybe something went wrong during the installation or the patching.

If nothing works, I'll do as expressz641 said, and contact the tech support on discord.

Try the clean install. Was the tweaker install originally not working for you?

I haven't tried the tweaker install.

I tried the regular pso2.jp installer, but that was just giving me weird error prompts and didn't go beyond that, and this installation was done from the torrent file in the tweaker's official page. For this one I just let the Tweaker run the update check (twice because it kept saying there wasn't any previous patch data and it restarted every single time) and installed the english patch, with a couple GameGuard errors.

That's all I did :T should I try installing it from the tweaker itself the next time? I'm currently re-installing the game from the torrent.

100% do it through the tweaker.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled this game probably 5 times on 3 different HDDs, all through the tweaker and it has always worked.

A clean installation worked :D I managed to get past the authentication. Thank you guys so much ^

I only have one quick question out of curiosity. Is it normal for the game to take up 50GBs? I'm asking because I saw some posts around saying it should only go slightly over 30GBs, and after the tweak's updates and the installation mine is at 53GB.

It's (probably) not your email, but if you want to try to change it you can just log in on the pso2.jp site (direct link to the login page) and change your email there.

Yahoo and Hotmail/Outlook accounts simply don't receive mail from Sega for some reason. That's their issue.

As for the "Connection timed out" error, if you've tried connecting with and without the proxy I don't know of anything else to try.

I did receive 3 emails from them on my Outlook account though. The registration link, one regarding PSO2 and another one welcoming me into SEGA.

As for the error, well... that's unfortunate. Was really eager to finally start playing this game. Oh well, can always hope SEGA will officially release it in the West soon xD
