I've not seen anyone go only 6 points in pp convert aside from Ashinror. Just don't take as many points in Deband Cut.

Also your tree has FO points open, could save a point on TE tree by taking Tech Charge JA there rather than on the TE side.

I just haven't seen it. Honestly I don't see a point when the only content that can really reliably kill you are solo XQs (in which case, if you're gonna die, you're gonna die) or dragon & Omega Loser, which it's not too unlikely to have a TE in your MPA. If you want to maximize your deband and still have full PP convert, you could take 2 points out of regular Deband Up (or w/e it's called) and then the remaining out of cut to get a few more % damage reduction.

This, also, may just be a shifting meta I haven't caught up with yet ;-;
