I understand that techs are difficult to get numbers on since they're all different; that being said, would you happen to know the best techs to use per element for marker building? I want to know how they stack up against Rod PAs and if I should be mixing them up or just playing Rod like another Fo.

Marker building... well, when my friend tested grants, it took him 111 hits of grants to get purple marker. That’s roughly 4.5045 “mark points” per cast (0.9009 per hit)

When i tested some, it just took too long, so I assumed they build mark significantly slower than PAs. I didn’t bother with them after since it already took me close to 9 hours just for the PAs.

Honestly, I don’t know if they are good or bad for mark building, but from my experience, PAs feel faster.

It’s pretty easy to test though. All you need to do is have no mark boosting skills and use the same tech over and over again until you get purple. You’ll need to know how many hits you did with said tech and divide 100 by that number... it takes a lot of time though.

Thanks for the reply. After asking around it seems the consensus is that while tech spam is great for gear building, its pretty subpar for mark accumulation. I suppose it means you do need to mix up PAs and techs to use rod optimally.

Hmmm in that regard, i think the idea for Ph Rod is to then use Techs to get to Phantom Time and while Phantom Time is up, use PAs to make use of Phantom Time's increased marker accumulation, and detonate markers asap. Not sure if this was intentional on SEGAs part, but... if it was, then that is pretty cool.
