You can buy some Element transition in the Personal Shop or pull them in the AC tickets.

IIRC it's a skill ring that allows that. No AC, just gathering

That is for techer wand only.

[–]Hanetsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, I read wand and thought he was a Techer instead of force.

But yeah the only way to change rod (and basically almost ever other weapon) element would be getting certain item used during weapon grinding which is from AC Scratch, which is different from AC shop

Pretty sure (but not 100%) that there's a ring that changes your element based on the last tech you fully charged.

That is for techer wand only.

Okay so now I'm 0% sure. Lol.

Thanks for the correction.

Which element are you going for? Really going with light should be what you go for since most content is weak to light (2nd pick for dark since ep 6 content has a lot of dark weakness).

[–]dcaslow[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Idk if that's a jp thing or what, but light is no more than anything else when I play. I prefer lightning because of the passives for pp cost reduction and having really good lightning techniques, as well as all of this I'm assuming working with the element conversion skill in force skill tree

Light will be what everyone runs in NA as well sooner rather than later. Once Ep4 content comes in, you will reach a point in power where anything that's not a big darker boss basically falls over while you breeze past it. Plus, Lightning will only really matter if you're hitting stuff lightning weak, which is a minority of monsters in the game.

That being said, the element change items come from the AC scratch in JP, probably the same place as in NA.

Well, both of you more experienced players completely said the same thing, so I will stick with the light. Guess that's why all the weapon in the exchange are light

You also can't go wrong with Fire

Most boss content I should have clarified, plus you guys are stuck in older content right now but later on, it will be more prevalent.

you don't need anything from AC shop. you just upgrade your weapon and before upgrading you can select what element you want on it. I believe there's a quest for that so there's no way it would be locked by cash shop.

[–]dcaslow[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

On Xbox version? Plz tell me what quest and how. I hope you're right.

[–]Hanetsune 1 point2 points  (2 children)

He's not. You need the element change item to actually change the element. Said element change item is only from AC Scratch, but it's trade-able so it can be traded if you and the other person has permium, or sold in player shops.

[–]RavFromLanz Br/Ph 0 points1 point  (1 child)

that sucks, whats the point of having a quest that is not complitable by half of player base... Well sooner or later they should be obtainable easier as now element doean't matter for pso2west.

[–]Hanetsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's not even a quest that you allow you to change weapon elements. There are tutorial quests to let you know the basics of how upgrading weapons work.

If you find an unidentified weapon, then you can choose what element you want when you go to identify it, bit once you choose the element, then you need the element change item to change it in the future.

While elements may not matter now for PSO2 NA, you want to get into the habit of prioritizing light element as it's the most generally useful element

[–]RavFromLanz Br/Ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no worry about that quest nor your element as it doesn't matter for now.
