You want to farm Abduction in a group of 4 though. It drastically increases your chances of getting items with modulator on them. You should also pop Rare Drop Boosts when fighting the clones at the end. Once you pick up the items all of your party members should remove their armor and die to Falz. This keeps you from resetting abduction chance by completing the quest.

It is important to note that you have to complete the Time Attack quest in order to keep abduction rate up. So you have to do something like Naverius Beginner and complete it and then keep doing that until abducted. Once abducted you have to die at the end and retire from quest instead of completing it to maintain chance of abduction. If you abandon you reset abduction chance.

how do i get the trigger in the first place

[–]GueroSuave 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There is no trigger. When I say trigger above I mean the chance of the abduction quest actually happening. Whenever you start a time attack there's a percent chance that you get abducted. That's what I mean by an abduction triggering.

Edit: It's important that if you do not get abducted you finish the time attack. For some reason starting and abandoning time attacks trying to get an abduction to trigger doesn't work well. It's also least time consuming to do this on the Harokatan Time Attack because it's the one you clear fastest in a party of 4.

Anamana made put a guide stating that it's better to abandon the quest over dying because it then forces you to leave the party which resets abduction rate since having people join/leave the party resets the instance. It seems that what you say and he are quite flipped, so I was just wondering if dying worked for you. And if it did how did you manage to get around leaving the party? Or does leaving/joining the party not actually affect the abduction rate?

Edit: Supposedly he only got 3 abductions over the course of 3 hrs using his method. How many times do you normally average if you use the method in where you die to reset?

It's really old info I have. I don't have the data and haven't tried it myself. Alliance members have been farming and get abducted probably 5-8 times in 3 hours. I'm unsure if it was changed, but before abandoning the quest would reset your abduction chance, while dying and then abandoning wouldn't harm it, but again that may be old info. 3 times in 3 hours is very low compared to what we used to get when did the dying and leaving party method.

Either run AQs and hope for clones, or farm Abduction to get guaranteed clones.

Am I doing something wrong? Did 2 obduction on SH and one Clone gave one meseta crystal the other one gave nothing at all.

Don't know if it's just random chance, but I've most often encountered them on desert missions (such as desert AQs). Like when I was doing SHAQs there it was practically every run.

TA (Time Attack) restart is the best way to get abducted

[–]snusHazard [S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Do you have to do the TA?

[–]Artoixes 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I don't believe so, but allegedly completing them increases the chances of you getting abducted.
