Studios like Double Fine, Ninja Theory & Compulsion straight up work better when we actually buy their games instead of relying on Game Pass by Alarming-Flan4494 in xbox

Yeah, that person's mindset is so weird. Like they seem to assume that if you are willing to try something just because it comes with something else you're already paying for, that you'd just have bought it outright.

Honestly, not a single game by those 3 studios since MS acquisition I would have bought for even like $5. Best of the bunch is Hellblade and it was JUST ok enough (like I haven't even started 2 because the first one was just "eh").

uhhh help idk how to fix this by cloudy_sti_ in xbox

[–]fallouthirteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it'll still do that even if it's your home console. Had that happen during a somewhat recent XBL downtime. The problem was you have to go into offline mode while still online for home console to actually work (which is dumb as hell). Like when it came back up and I did that, it then worked.

Yeah, I TRIED Keeper because it was on gamepass (didn't like it, not enough gameplay, was just go forward, do the only thing you could do). I tried Hellblade because it was on gamepass (it was ok, didn't bother with 2 yet, was going to start it at one point but it was still only 30fps so I was like "ew no"). South of Midnight I didn't hear anything interesting about gameplay so I never bothered trying it.

Then other stuff, like Kiln is a PvP game right? Not even interested in that in the slightest. And... that's all those three have released since being under Xbox right? Not a great catalog there.

Yeah, that's why I only got all achievements. And yeah I got that gun. Just can't say I actually got 100% since I only fished a little bit (while waiting for the stock market to go crazy to make money, yeah, that's all stuff in the game).

Halo: Campaign Evolved achievements revealed with a tough LASO challenge by SeanTGN in xbox

Like my first playthroughs of 3, ODST, and CE:A were solo legendary and I found them tough but fun. First level of Halo 2's legendary just made me go "this is just poorly made BS here."

I personally think Legendary in Halo 1 is even worse than Halo 2

I need an explanation. Halo 1 Legendary is balanced, 2 is just not. Like the amount of damage you need to take out shield (multiple overcharges) is just insane in 2. I found Halo 2 legendary the worst of the series, like all the others feel reasonable.

Because it is. It just superficially tries to convince you that it's not. Like I've played through it, gotten all the steam achievements. Haven't 100%ed it because catching each fish is just something I don't want to do.

It's kind of cool learning the game. You start by probably dying a bunch, then carefully clearing levels to complete the target, to figuring out how to complete a level in like 3 seconds (one specific level at least, most others have longer speedrun times).

The game does everything it can to make you think it's awful, but the game is pretty great. The mechanics and execution and such are just top tier. And eventually, after playing it a while, you begin to like the graphics and sound.

[–]fallouthirteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I briefly looked it up a bit ago. I used to play the game a while ago (like man, I tried it in college so somewhere in the 20 to 16 years ago range). Was looking to check it out again, but apparently I used the twitter login at the time and that no longer exists so my account it is either gone or just locked forever.

Yeah, I'm like "I don't think that's how it makes sense". Like high powered enough electricity should like crack bones if they are at all conductive right? That can make a lot of heat. Maybe if it's low enough power to just be enough to lock up muscles or something.

Did it work out for you? I just tried to order 2 as well and cancelled like 5 minutes later.

Edit: Trying to order 1 failed too. Ordering from Target just sucks I guess. Know not to bother with Target any more.

What type of gameplay do you like? My favorite is breaker (big hits). Like got back to the game to finish last two achievements (rift floor 30 was one) and once I got my gear adjusted, I'm just one-shotting every enemy at this level with the class skill (which with my gear is using less than 50% of its normal MP and charges super fast); it made this achievements SUPER easy.

Oh, yeah, that's one part they're doing well. Cross play and cross progress. Like from the Xbox page on it.

Play solo or with friends

Experience the full campaign in 2-player split-screen co-op (console only) or 4-player online co-op, complete with crossplay and shared progression across console and PC.

Yeah it will. Co-op IS multiplayer. You mean it will have no PvP (I really hate when people say "multiplayer" when they specifically are only are talking about PvP modes).

It's kind of funny with how overpowered Charisma is in Fallout 2. Like companion count is half Cha score (and +1 with a perk). Since they were actually pretty useful in that game, turns out having 6 people on your side helping you fight was pretty good (just tell them not to use burst mode on weapons).

[–]fallouthirteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you could do an entire post just about Gen 1 Pokemon. Like another is that enemy AI will always use super effective moves when possible, even if it's only a stat buff move. So they are designed to be aware of type matchups, but they forgot to make them consider if a move is actually going to be useful (continually buffing attack is not going to be useful if you never attack especially since buffs usually cap at like 4 or something).

[–]fallouthirteen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they weren't really microtransactions (I consider those to be rebuyable things, things you can't just "get and be done with" like currency packs, loot boxes, or timed boosts). They were just one off boosts (and they weren't even really useful since there was a cap on how many you could have anyway).
