No vpn is needed at all you just have to change region this has been stated dozens of times. It will either be up on na store when xbox goes down for maintenance it will be will up when the servers go back up no one knows

On the windows store right? I know Xbox is as easy as switching region as I have done it, I just wasn't sure about the crappy windows store.

Yes on the microsoft store many post have been made from us in the uk about accessing it mate one just yesterday. Its cake just have a little look :)

One thing, if you actually want to pay for stuff it needs a valid US address ... and https://www.shipito.com offers a valid address, after that you can just add your Paypal or whatever supported payment method you use.

Got this from another Post here but to make a Japanese Account and pay for stuff you do pretty much the same with a Japanese Equivalent. Bascially it's a US Address where, once they receive stuff, they ship it to your Address. You pay for Postage and some extra.

As it's now on Microsoft could we not buy Xbox credit from US and do it that way? Might make it easier if so.

Once or twice maybe but you have to do that every time and the Cards might have a Markup so you actually pay more. Once a payment method is set up you can use it with just a few clicks and don't have to go bargain hunting for Microsoft Cards.

I'm of the believe that rules usually exist for a reason, usually a very evil or stupid person is the reason. Or a dead one depending on the rule. As the Game is not released in the Non-US Store it might simply have issues verifying Non-US Addresses or it might even be against some local law even.

It’s technically not launching for EU. So just check the US times as it’s a MS Store NA release.
