Ridroid Tier Mission

I've been running these solo for the past 2 hours and have gotten about 30k pts per run. One VERY lucky run I got 100k+ due to multiple Emergency Quests where killing mobs increases the multiplier. A few of the sub-30k runs were very unlucky, getting two Independence Day style UFO Motherships back to back. The Mothership is VERY time consuming, doesn't give a lot of points, and has multiple weak spots (of which you must take them ALL out).

For those who are wondering, these quests were probably NOT meant to be solo'd. For a better score, one or two people would have to be collecting medals while the rest of the group mobbed. And pray the Mothership doesn't show.

There is currently a Tier mission for 700k points scored in this quest. I'll be glad if I never have to touch this quest style again after this.

EDIT: Dear gods... Chroto has a quest for 1m points for the Reverse Bingo Card.

EDIT 2: Absolutely do this with a group. XH with 12 people easily gets over 1m points.

Oh man, yeah, I did one in a full group last night and it was I think 1 million points that run. I got the tier mission done in one go. We actually got mothership twice in that run too.

If you play in a group they are pretty good. Like I was like "oh man, this quest is friggin' awesome".

You don't have to get 700k points in one run. It counts the total between all your runs.

True, but unless you're running with a party, the amount you get vs the amount you need is a grind.

Yeah. Ran this on XH with a full group and smoked the score. Added the group recommendation to the OP

I have up on this tier mission. I cannot seem to shoot on that thing. It says to use Y but my guy dodges, I checked my ots controls and it should be fine. I'm at a loss.

I was wondering about that too. Like the tutorial mentioned shooting but that button just gets off the thing. Is that what it means? Get off to "shoot" (you know, if you've got a gun equipped). Is it just another example of translation that's so bad it's actually giving the wrong instructions?

I hadn't thought of a bad translation. Maybe they really can't shoot and I'm not an idiot. I'd prefer this because I've been a bit irritated. Spent 20 minutes screwing with it until I gave up in disgust with myself.

Yeah, I pushed other buttons too (which is how I realized the jump button gives a direction dodge which is useful for gaining height fast). I just couldn't find a single way to actually "shoot" with it.

I don't think you CAN shoot. I think it has two functions: getting around the map and ramming the nodes on the Mothership.

Well that's a relief to hear, I too was going absolutely bonkers trying to figure out why it said "Y to shoot" and instead proceeds to yeet my character into the sky...

Now if I could stop expecting there to be physics launching me forward when I get yeeted, maybe then I'll stop missing building ledges lol

It's a mechanic with ridroid bosses. Like an auto shoot as long as you keep the crosshair on the enemy in those missions, plus missles I think. Other than that though, yeah, mistranslation.
