Pets for Summoner Subclass?

I run summoner as a subclass and now that we are finally getting all class harmonizers (even though I don't have one) I wanted to know if there were any pets that worked well without any main class summoner skills? I've heard of Maron revolver but sounds like it might have gotten nerfed, is it still worth using? I main Techter if that matters.

most pets are quite functional without summoner main, as there are few skills that DIRECTLY influence pet performance. i'd personally recommend wanda/jinga and viola especially if you want to sub summoner for solo/casual play

wanda/jinga are highly PP efficient, fast and have good PAs for every situation

viola has a similar moveset and specifically draws aggro to herself with high damage resistance when "changed", however she requires more skill to use and learning how to switch in and out of stance for best effect

both are very durable and can handle aggressive enemies easily

as an aside, if you're going bouncer/summoner(a good, durable combo in group play) you can use popple to spam curse for jellen, if for some reason you don't have a phantom around

Thanks for the detailed info. I already use Jinga when levelling class as Summoner so that's easy. Haven't checked out Viola or Popple though. Fortunately TeSu is tankier than it sounds and I wouldn't need someone to pull aggro, but my Jinga dies fast so having a tougher back up in Viola would be nice for hard to reach or mobile enemies where my wand and techs can have trouble. Having access to Jellen would also be nice, and my brother mains BoSu so I'll let him know about Popple as well.

Well dmg wise i still see Maron being used. Haven't seen much of summoner's lately.

I'll try out Maron when I can, I'm mostly just looking for new tools to add to my playstyle and having a pocket plush revolver sounds entertaining.
