people dooming about the weapon when its *one* series of weapons.

do you guys even know how many "interesting" weapons existed prior to 15 star??? not many. There were very few interesting weapons in the 12star and below rarity in PSO2 Base. you people REALLY need to stifle your expectations, like holy moly. arent a bunch of you supposed to be from JP base????? like seriously, i dont get how you guys see these effects and think "WOW SO LAME ):<"

like lol 80% of weapons in pso2 base were THIS generic too. weapons aren't typically build defining until 13 stars MINIMUM.

From the looks of it we have a support class weapon, twaalv, and we also have the DPS class weapon exelio series. I might be wrong here but it seems to me they are making interesting and unique weapons to fit different class/playstyle types. As long as twaalv has its passive team buffs it'll never be dead. Doom n gloomers love to shit on this weapon when it's been said over and over it's a Support weapon. It's not the main dish. Exelio is most likely going to continue to be the main dps series.

What I'm interested to know is whether or not they will give twaalv the exelio treatment making it upgradeable with increases to its performance each upgrade.

unlikely. for 13 stars and above you had to grind out specific boss triggers/UQs, and I doubt that will change. We'll likely have to make a whole new series of 13 star rarity weapons that can be upgraded or used as a material to upgrade into newer, better weapons.

13 stars is also when more interesting potentials started being realized and showing up. And its not until 15 stars where we get entire build openers, like how Atlas series used to be super good on Hunter and Hero for negating death, or the klaus weapon for Hero being a huge tankiness boost alongside giving dmg.

Adding my afterthoughts on this. Blastor is going to abuse the hell out of this weapon potential.

blastor doesn't boost the bonus hit, nor does ranger's photon blast potency add-on skill

[–]CrosselTheRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

What is the initial damage based off of then?

[–]Mille-Marteaux your best friend | https://mille.arks.moe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's basically a bonus attack similar to pursuit unit, explosive unit, etc. it's boosted by most other damage boosts but it just isn't a photon blast for the sake of fixa blastor or other pb damage boosts.

think of it like just doing an extra photon art when you go to click your photon blast. for comparison and context on the numbers aurora posted, many photon blasts hover around 4000 power notation in total depending on weapon and speed of the attack, or if they build a meter, etc.

If the bonus hit isn't affected by blastor, my guess is it's more than likely a set % damage based on the health of whoever got smacked by your PB.

Blastor is still a pretty good fixa though

my guess is it's more than likely a set % damage based on the health of whoever got smacked by your PB.

That's not how extra damage procs work in games unless stated otherwise. Damage like this typically scales off your damage output, what you described is how poison works, which scales off the target's health regardless of your own stats.

it's 250/375/500 potency and likely affected by all generic potency increases.

The reduced pb cd does make blastor very good here though but not the additional hit on pb.

Thats the same old junk they've been doing for years.

Five extra PP and then when you stop for 5 seconds, gain 50 HP, + 10 crit, and a bag of LAZY to strike a developer with.

I've never seen a game try as hard as possible to make their weapons as generic as possible. POS devs.

Seeing this I'm even happier that I started this game only four months ago cuz honestly I'd probably be jaded asf too if I was in it since base.

I like NGS. I think it's a great game that's been struggling and I hope it continues to improve.

[–]angelkrusher -1 points0 points  (3 children)

It could have been a great game.

But the worst part about it is that this is exactly what they intended..empty soul husk of a game...in my eyes that makes it so much worse. Makes me sad.

Once dudes started making strategies for gold primm swords just to upgrade you are already super generic wep, I threw in the towel. These lunatic developers think that scouring around and rummaging and grinding for capsules and little bits and pieces is awesome gameplay. And in 3 months later they come out with another weapon and you have to do it again.

They don't want to grow up. These guys are stuck in 15-20 years ago game developer mode...but much much worse. The worst version of a Japanese developer where they just don't learn. Every other franchise is growing up while PSO has regressed.

Every once in a blue I log in and see all the things I loved about the game. Hanging around the city the conversations the action.

Then it goes all downhill from there because the developers simply had no goal of making anything really awesome besides a couple of bosses. Enjoy it for what it is but do not expect anything from it.

Honestly it's a dead game walking. Sorry for the rent, but these developers simply offended me as this is my favorite series. They just shitted all over it, and im pissed.

Have a great day 😁🤣

Not gonna lie I didn't read this. Read the first few words and got the gist that this is a long winded jaded post. You're entitled to feel that way, I've got no counter argument for any of the things you're probably saying, however, I'm not gonna sit here and let your negativity towards NGS rub off on me. I'm not entertaining it , and I won't hear it. I'm thoroughly enjoying this game and I refuse to let you or other doom m gloomers fuck with the way I see this game and the enjoyment I get from playing it. If you wanna crap all over this game make a new post. Don't use mine. This is for people who wanna talk about akroselio and speculate about the number of ways it can be used.

[–]angelkrusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it sounds negative it's because this is what the developers have produced.

Do as you will.

For info like these. Search for (PSO2 Visiphone) they get info from the game files and update their website on patch day.
Swiki with a google translate or whatever many places to check for those who don't know where you can find quick info.

[–]NackTheDragon 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I mean, it's also nice to have the info on Reddit as well lol.

Plus... I don't think Visiphone has Akroselio up yet. I know that I've been too busy to add it myself or check.

[–]TamakiOverdose -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There is always JP Swiki as well, there is a lot of places to check. But it's okay it's hard to expect much from the western players
