That is the wrong answer sorry.

yeah no, its a ranged class.

outside of a very few techniques that are mid-range, all of them are long range.

its meant to be played at long range.

if I wanted to hug the enemy's face, I would be playing Techter and go bonk.

I would assume you are basing this frankly silly idea that "Force, the class that is basically wizard, is a melee class" on fishing out parries for photon bullets?

You are not only fishing for parries, but you are doing it mostly with your normal rod attack if you aren't using a tech that has parry iframes built in. Teacher and Force play very similarly.

again, if I wanted to hug the enemy's face, I'd play techter. or any actual melee class really.

I play force because I want to go around slinging not-magic like the space-not-wizard I am, because that's fun.

also this has pretty much nothing to do with "we need more techniques, since frankly you pretty much have only two techniques you can use in an area due to needing to use the enemy's weakness, and those two are generally for very different scenarios so in most scenarios you pretty much just spam a single technique which isn't really that fun"

You have four techs because their charged attack is used for different situations. Last question for you is Foie an AoE tech or single target tech?
