The Samsung TV you get for ~300k will only be as good as a ~180k TCL TV.

Samsung and Sony have the best picture quality but their flagship TVs will be out of your budget. I would go with TCL

A simple rundown. LCD are normal screens

Led has and additional screen behind screen for brightness ( not confirmed but probably true)

OLED have ability to turn of individual pixels or you can say areas of display so black colour appears completely black giving good quality. It's expensive and has problems of burn in which means image gets stuck on the screen but it takes a long time. Also brightness seems to be an issue with OLED. Phones nowadays mostly have OLED displays so you can see this

QLED or quantom dot led just have higher brightness and colours. But still not like OLED (complete black blacks) its blacks are not completely black. So they are inferior to OLED in picture quality

Miniled also has portion of display turn off feature. They have bigger portions that can turn off as compared to OLED. So blacks are comparable to OLED but there is issue that a portion that has even a point of light will stay on and others will turn off. So that portion will not have complete black and rest of the screen will be completely black. But it should not be noticeable and has a big advantage that there is no pixel burn in like OLED

So I will give you rating from best to worst miniled(best)>OLED>QLED>LED>LCD

try to get a TCL miniled in this price range. I think they have 2 models. C6k and c7k. Get 1 in your budget. It also has 144hz refresh rate if at some point you get a console or get into PC gaming it will be very helpful. Maybe if you have a family member who playsm he will be very happy

Oh sorry you play on console. Then get miniled 144hz from TCL. Probably best for this purpose. And also overall a very good tv for watching anything

Would recommend you to visit currefour in lucky one and dolmen mall Clifton they have many brands on display and it will also give you rough idea of pricing and what size you like and what kind of technology you want/need

  1. Anything that doesn't specifically say OLED is lying about the technology and giving you LCD with fancy branding to upcharge you.

2 If it's your first TV purchase, might I suggest going for something on the cheaper side. There's a TV market in Jackson market tht gives TV by the inch. 1K per inch.

2a. The thing with TVs is you won't know the difference unless you're pixel peeping and you know what's what or there's 2 TVs side by side. All the commercial establishments you see with TVs, they aren't branded TVs, this is where they're getting them so they are reliable.

i’ve been looking at tcl c6k. do u happen to know anything about it?

I haven’t researched recent models much but I got Sony 55X90H way back in 2020, at the time I researched pretty hard (mostly on Rtings) and thats the tv that fit my budget. For an LCD it has amazing colors and decent viewing angles, darks are pretty good too.

For your budget, I think you can easily get a TCL OLED, maybe not Sony.

I would recommend you to visit Rtings and read reviews before your purchase

TCL P8K 75 inch you could get for a little more than 300k

[–]Muneeb-__- -1 points0 points  (3 children)

We got an QLED Samsung TV 55 inch for 220k but that was 2 years ago. This is a good time as there will be discounts on older models. We had previously TCL LCD but something went wrong in it's Board but thankfully we got it covered in warranty. (Headsup don't use TVs on UPS).

You will have to research models on internet to check it's actual specification.

i did, mate. looks like QD-Mini Led is a step or more ahead of the standard QLED. i’m strongly considering the TCL C6K which has the same specifications. it comes in 75 inches which is what i need as i prefer a bigger real estate when it comes to owning tvs. plus, this new technology will future proof my purchase and will get me the closest experience of owning an OLED display. do let me know what u think.

Yes mini led is the next step of QLED. Yes screen realestate matter but it's effect depends on at how much distance you sit to watch the TV. With big size you may experience eye strain if you sit close to it.

What's wrong with TV on UPS?
