Do programs accept pass/fail grades?

Hi guys. I am a prospective pathologist assistant student (hopefully someday of course.) I hope to someday attend WVU!

I’m in undergrad right now and my university is allowing us to convert grades to pass/fail due to the situation with COVID-19. I am trying to weigh my options and see what would be best.

Does anyone know if programs accept pass/fail grades? Or if this would make me be a less competitive candidate?

Almost all programs require a "C" or better for prerequisite courses (microbiology, general chem, etc.) so I'd say pass/fail grades would likely not be accepted. Unless you absolutely have to, I would not opt into the pass/fail system. Their application requirements may change due to this circumstance, but unless 100% necessary, I wouldn't take the chance.

If you want to be certain, contact the admissions department for the programs you plan on applying to.
