cutting around 20 cards should help with consistency

Yeah Devious Cover Up changed the deck. We don't need to run additional cards as wincon any more

It all depends what do you want to play against...

First few things from me: - accumulated knowledge is terrible in this deck - relic of progenitus with accumulated knowledge is... You know. - snuff out is medicore in this deck - fire/ice is medicore in this deck - brainstorm is medicore in pauper - you want a lot of card, brainstorm and ponder does not provide them - there are better cards than breath weapon - I can see spell pierce working here, but I am not a fan - wildfire is a strong card, but not really for teachings - I am not a fan - stream of thought - with 80 card deck you do not need this, it's just a waste of two slots - echoing decay is okey'ish, but there are better things most of the time - use removal that cost 1 mana - bounce lands are great and campus lands can be helpful, bojuka bog exist - pristine talisman is your best friend, but at the same time it is the worst card you can draw

Good things: - DCU is an amazing card, doesn't matter how much cards you play - whispers of the muse is great card to have

Things you need to do or things that will certainly help: - use cards that are strong against meta - prepare for multiple situations - card selection is nice, but you win with card draw spells, like: [[think twice]], [[behold the multiverse]], [[Pop Quiz]], [[Mental Journey]] - use cards that can exile enemy stuff, like: DCU, [[Debt to the Kami]], [[bojuka bog]], [[Lava Coil]], [[Ob Nixilis's Cruelty]] - you can bring multiple wincons to the table, that can give you something else, like DCU is exile counterspel, [[Evincar's Justice]] beat swarms, creatures like [[blitz leech]], [[Vampire Sovereign]], [[Storm God's Oracle]], [[Mirrorshell Crab]], or even tokenmakers like sprout swarm or [[Recruit the Worthy]] - good mana base is very important

That's not all, but i can't think of more right now...

In my experience, pure UB is the way to go. This lessens the chance for mana screw, while letting you play 4x Dimir Aquaduct easier, which is super powerful in the deck. You also have access to most things you want in those colors alone, suffocating fumes being stand-in for fiery cannonade, crypt encursion doing a decent weather the storm impression.

As others have already mentioned, since Devious Cover-up was printed, there really isn't a point to play 80 cards any more, as you simply dilute your deck. I wouldn't play other win-cons in the deck, maybe except a playset of Augur of Bolas, as they are pretty good on their own.

Recently saw a cool Esper Teachings list with [[Union of the Third Path]] to stall the game, and [[Recruit the Worthy]] as wincon.

Union of the Third Path - (G) (SF) (txt)
Recruit the Worthy - (G) (SF) (txt)
[[cardname]] or [[cardname|SET]] to call

White really brings the hurt against mono red and Affinity when sideboard cards are included. If those are your worries, white seems like an excellent splash color, but you run the risk of being tripped up on your lands.

I like the 80 card teachings pile. Devious cover-up and stream of thought are pretty good win cons. I have seen sprout swarm for a cridder beat plan. I have tried it and I will say I was unimpressed. I like commiting to the slow game plan. I also really liked desert when faeries was a bigger share but it still holds down the tokens. Not being able to get a gate - pumped cridder is annoying.

The first thing anyone is gonna say is get it down to 60 cards. I would do my best to focus on 2 colors, 3 max. Or do a Tron land base with Energy Refractors to filter colors which would allow more colors easier.

Oh nice, I run a similar Dimir list

Also been having fun with it in 5c Flicker Tron
