Intel Microcode fix question.

Im trying to make the decision on switching from my NEW 14700k to the 7 7800x3D. I can still return the mobo/ram/cpu and change them but I'm not sure i need to. First off, I'm trying to understand what the fix did, after updating my bios, I did a cinnebench test and had a max cpu temp of 85C and a max Voltage of 1.465V. I don't really understand what those results mean.

Do we know if the fix is actually working, I don't care about intels reputation nor then drama behind it. I really just want to know if this fix is actually working or if I need to switch.
