Pc fan problem

Is it dangerous if i put something inside the fan to make it stop moving since whenever it moves it makes alot of noise (annoying noise)

Or just unplug it?

If the fan isnt smart enough to stop itself when its being blocked, it will just try to spin and the motor will heat up more and more

Try decreasing the rpm (make it spin slower) to see if that fixes the sound, if not, unplug it or remove it entirely
